Pete McConnell: Pete has been guiding the Upper North Platte for over 10 years. He calls the town of encampment and the Steelhead rivers of Oregon home. Besides being a talented fisherman, he is a great guy to spend a day in the boat with.

Burgan Campbell: Burgan started working at Hack’s Tackle during summer vacation as soon as he was old enough to scrub coolers and wash boats. Since then he has become a world class fishing guide.

Braxton Schwartzkopf: Braxton is born and raised in Saratoga and has taken full advantage of the fishing and hunting possibilities. He is a avid bowhunter and all around back country enthusiast. He can also make big fish levitate while looking stylish in a pink shirt. .


Phil McGrath: the owner, has been guiding full seasons in Saratoga WY since 2006.  He likes to consider himself an expert on the feeding behavior of trout in the Upper North Platte and Encampment Rivers.

Phil is a trained Wilderness First Responder and a graduate of Brevard College where he studied outdoor recreation and wildlife biology. He has received training and certifications in swift water rescue, wilderness leadership and leave no trace ethics.

Emily Kaluzny: Emily has many job titles at Medicine Bow Anglers. A lot of what happens behind the scenes is thanks to her hard work. Including many boxes of the beautiful “Locally Tied” tied flies in the shop. So if you see her around, you should probably say Thank You.
